Artikulu honetan euskaltzainburuak hausnarketa orokor bat egiten du euskararen lexikografiaz, Euskaltzaindiaren egitekoak aztertuz bi alorretan: hizkuntza orokorrari dagokionez eta hizkera berezituei dagokienez. Bi alorrak maila teorikoan erkatu ondoren, kasu praktiko baten baitan berraztertzen dira: hizkera juridikoaren kasuan. Bukatzeko Euskaltzaindia eta UEU elkarlanera deitzen ditu.

In this paper, the President of the Royal Academy of the Basque Language, offers a reflexion on Basque lexicography, analizing the work that the Royal Academy has to develop in two major areas: those questions related to the language of daily conversation and the language of more specialized discourses. After comparing both areas from a theoretical point of view, they are reanalized from the point of view of a particular example: that of legal discourse. In the end, he calls for collaboration between the Royal Academy and UEU.
