Description

UZTARO is a periodical which was first issued in 1990 with the general purpose of publishing articles on human sciences. Most contributions are on the following topics: economy, law, psychology, pedagogy, philosophy, communication, sociology, sociolinguistics, linguistics, literature, translation, language teaching, classical studies, arts, music, history and geography. Although the works presented in UEU courses and seminars are given priority for publication, the number of external contributions -by both university and nonuniversity professors and researchers- accepted is also increasing, as we are aiming at a balance between well known and unknown contributors. Finally, it is worth mentioning the effort which is being made to improve the quality of this periodical on the basis of the following criteria:

  • In order to guarantee the quality of the contents, each paper is evaluated by two referees before acceptance.
  • As for the correct usage of the Basque language, three style proofreaders correct the articles written in Basque, paying special attention to simplicity and to the degree of standardization of the technical vocabulary.
  • We have introduced stricter style-sheet norms.
  • Unfailing regularity in publication: 500 pages in four volumes yearly.
